With the recent ruling by the DOJ that online poker is not included in the Wire Act of 1961, what is there a return to the US for Pokerstars in the works, and what kind of time frame is expectd?

Thanks for your time

Hello Garlicbutter,

Thank you for contacting PokerStars.

We are aware of the US Department of Justice announcement on December 23, 2011. We welcome this ruling, which confirms our previous legal advice that the Wire Act of 1961 was never intended to apply to poker.

We expect that this ruling will be an important step towards online poker becoming fully licensed in the United States. At this time, however, it does not change our ability to offer real money games in the USA.

We are here 24/7 for your support, please feel free to contact us back anytime.

Regards,

Guillermo M
