Online Gambling Fight Empty
PostSubject: Online Gambling Fight   Online Gambling Fight EmptyTue Jan 03, 2012 12:11 pm

The world of online gambling is coming to America. The question likely is not if, anymore, but when and who, according to an article in the Washington Post. With the December 23 decision by the Department of Justice, it's only a matter of time before gaming is back online in America.

Nevada took the lead in state legislation, but New Jersey is putting their hat in the ring, too. New Jersey, trying not to be left out of any taxes that may be collected from the gaming, is hoping its governor will sign a modified bill that was vetoed back in March. According to Pokernewsreport.com, Governor Christie vetoed the bill citing violations to the state's constitution. The legislators hope they have modified the bill enough to be on the front side of the online gambling wave that is about to happen.,

There is also discussion on whether there should be legislation at the federal level, but for most players who used to play on Pokerstars, they just want to be able to play and not have to worry. But don't worry, it looks like the process is happening, and it won't be too long.
