Starting Hands Empty
PostSubject: Starting Hands   Starting Hands EmptySun Jul 24, 2011 8:17 am

Top Ten Starting Hands

A A - This hands beats everything......at first. Watch out for RVCrusher though, he likes to play 6 2 off suit which will probably win online

K K and Q Q - Next best things to A A. They get beat alot by Ace-rags so you need to bet enough to get action, but still get hands that shouldn't play, out.

A K suited
- Great hand, but still needs to hit vs a pair.

A Q suited - Still a great hand, but in very important spots, be careful. still hard to fold either way

J J - Fish hooks are good, but beat by a lot. They are good enough to play almost anytime, but can be beaten by many hands, better or worse starting

K Q, A J, K J all suited. A K, A Q, and A J off suit - Pretty good hands, but pay attention to the action at the tables. You're getting into RVCrusher's range. lol!

If you draw up a really great hand, you should bet aggressively to knock out the "bad" hands from the pot. Also, keep in mind to make a Call, you need to think you have a better hand than the aggressor.

Shove preflop with 72 is a very wise choice I recommend doing it whenever you have the chance. Shocked Shocked

Agreed, and I encourage all to employ this technique whenever playing against me.

you are in fact right with the order of the best starting hands accccceptttttttt the fact that MY AA always loses to some garbage like 97 off lol!

Definitely agreed. Too many times people get caught up raising hands like KJ, A9, Q10 and when someone 3-bets I know the initial play is obv fold, but they think they already have enough money in the pot and makes themselves "Pot committed" when in reality they know they are beat.

Lol this is true!
I would say that you should keep your range very a little depending on the situation and position otherwise you will not get the action you are looking for when you have the monster hands above, however gettin pot commited with Q10 or KJ is never you best plan unless youve got like 5bbs. elephant
