 Live Poker Empty
PostSubject: Live Poker    Live Poker EmptyTue Feb 07, 2012 9:43 am

Hello guys,

I'm not a beginner in poker but I am in live games, actually, I've never played poker in a casino. The problem is that the games at the casino are higher than what I play online. My online bankroll is big enough to cover 15-20 live BI but I don't want to use the online bankroll for live games.

My questions are:

How do I build a bankroll for live poker?
Any tips for live games? (things that I should do differently from what I do online)
What shall I expect and do on my first visit to the cardroom?

Any other usefull stuff will be apreciated.

Thank you!

Hey there,
So I try to view my online and live poker as part of the same beast: always trying to win some $ and go pro lol. This way I dont mind taking some of my online roll out to the casino otherwise you pretty much just have to start a roll from working or something because casinos dont have the freerolls to get you started. If you really have 20 live buyins online you shouldnt have a problem taking 2-3 of them out to play, after all you are just going to grind it back up right? so thats what i do... cheers
As far as what to expect at the casino it all depends on the casino, here at our local ghetto norcal indian casinos you can bet out of turn, talk in the hand, basically violate any etiqutte (sp?) you want and they will let it slide. If your first game is at Foxwoods you might have a different experience.... I woud say that the players live are far worse on average than online, only the sharks have bothered to try to play online since BF. Try to play turnys, the rake at low stake cash games is killer imo farao

just some random thoughts
