GUIDELINES/Requirements FOR RUNNING BSA's Empty
PostSubject: GUIDELINES/Requirements FOR RUNNING BSA's   GUIDELINES/Requirements FOR RUNNING BSA's EmptyWed Jul 13, 2011 2:19 am

Requirements for running a BSA :

Must have either 250 Player points or 500 Staker Points

Must have 150 Posts

Must verify screen names on all networks

The following is a set of rules and guidelines for running BSA's. The purpose of these rules are to outline ways to structure and run a BAP so that players avoid problems with the rules and their stakers. If you follow these simple guidelines you will be able to prevent yourself from running into trouble and both protect yourself and your investors. These rules will be aggressively enforced from here on out.

GUIDELINES FOR RUNNING BSA's

1. Write concise, and detailed BAP plans outlining every aspect of how you will run the BSA and handle the money. The more detail you provide the less likely you are going to have problems. Each BSA plan should address several key components of a BSA:

- PLAN and SCHEDULE: this should detail exactly what your BSA Plan entails, including games you will play, limits or specific events, etc.
- BANKROLL RULES: you should clearly define what your bankroll rules are, what the situations are that will allow you to modify them
- SHARES/MAKE UP: What are the conditions of purchasing shares, what is the cut? is there Make Up offered?
- RAIL: what kind of rail will you keep, how often will you rail, what information will you provide in the rail?
- TERMS and CONDITIONS: what are the terms and conditions for this bap? Will you buy back shares? If so for how long? What are your conditions for changing the BSA plan, how will you poll investors, etc?

The more detailed and concise you are in your BSA plan, the better. Your potential stakers have a right to know what they are buying into and you are not allowed to deviate from this plan without staker approval (see rules below)

RULES FOR RUNNING BSA's

1. Players must write detailed BSA ads outlining every aspect of how their BSA will be run including railing, BR rules, buyins and any special circumstances detailing how the money will be used.

2. All players will be strictly held to the rules and plan outlined in their BSA ad. Any deviation from the plan that is not clearly defined and allowable in the plan, or is done without staker approval will result in DNS and a full or partial refund to the stakers.

3. Any change, deviation of the BSA plan or expansion of the plan requires staker approval BEFORE it's implemented. The stakers must be polled via BSA PM, with a "majority of shares" vote (unless specified clearly in the BAP plan - player's shares do not count in the vote). The player must give a reasonable time frame for stakers to respond, 36-48 hours, if a staker does not respond in the specified time frame they are considered a non-vote. If approved the change MUST be documented in the OFFICIAL RAIL THREAD of the BSA including the vote breakdown. Stakers will be allowed to sell their shares if a major change is approved and they voted against it (unless clearly specified that they cannot in the BSA plan).

2. Any bonuses for a BSA must be NOTED in the RAIL BEFORE the bonused game(s) are played. Playing higher buyins then the BSA plan specifies and paying the difference is not allowed without staker approval (unless specified clearly in BSA plan that the player will be doing this).

3. All shares MUST Be assigned to stakers BEFORE the BAP starts. It is the responsibility of the player to make sure the BSA accounting is in order before starting the BAP. If the BAP is sold out the player must ship back any extra funds collected to the stakers who missed out. Players can reserve the right to not accept stakers, however again this must be done and documented before the BAP starts. If a player fails to assign shares, return money or notify the staker that the shares are not available before the BSA starts, the staker shares are considered valid and will be enforced as such.

4. Members are not allowed to sell the same action on multiple sites, if you want to split your action among multiple staking sites, you must divide your bankroll accordingly, just as you would with private non-member backers. Anyone caught selling the same action across multiple sites will have their BSA closed and risk losing BSA privileges

Again, all of these rules can be trumped by a clearly defined clauses in a BSA plan. Example: A player can specify in a BSA ad that only 1/3 of shares are needed to approve a change in the plan, or that only shareholders holding more than a certain number of shares can vote on a change to a BSA plan. Another example: A player can specify in their BAP plan that they may play higher buyins and pay the difference out of pocket not charging the BSA, because this is defined clearly in the BSA plan it would trump Rule #3 above.

The bottom line is that players need to write detailed BSA ads and stick to them, they are free to put whatever rules or clauses they want in the BAP plan, but they must follow them to a tee. All Stakers have a right to know exactly what they are buying into and that is what these rules are going to ensure.
